Missouri’s primary is finally here meaning the months of campaigning in contested races is coming to a head.
The ballot before voters is filled with a vast amount of candidates vying for the same position in most of the statewide races, as well as some local ones. In order to prepare for the primary, the Missourian, KBIA and KOMU have been working on a series of articles and stories to provide a detailed overview of the election. This has included a guide to the candidates, as well as discussions of issues that candidates and voters are dealing with during the primary and general election:
- The Missourian produced a Voters Guide and a series of issues pieces with opinions from Boone County candidates.
- KBIA has continuously run stories about mid-Missouri politics and candidates, including a story about the relatively peacful Secretary of State race.
- KOMU reporters have personally interviewed candidates for statewide races, such as gubernatorial candidates, for their Smart Decision 2012 series.
This information will continue to be important to voters, reporters and candidates no matter who Missourians decide should continue on into the general election cycle.
